about

I wrote this song for all of you who've lost a parent or grandparent or loved one. They were always there for you, but now they're "gone, but not forgotten." This song celebrates that they're in heaven, where the Bible says the streets are gold. It is a sad-yet-hopeful song to help you mourn their loss. I've received a lot of heartfelt notes about how this song helped people deal with the loss of their loved one, and that is exactly what I intended it to do when I wrote it in a church in Buffalo, New York.
